Master craftsmen, musicians and sport stars, who want to transfer their skills and share their experiences with others, have coached for centuries. Modern day executives are embracing 'executive coaching' to get objective input from a respected external source. This workshop introduces the coaching process, indicating the benefits to the organization, the learner and the coach. A basic coaching process is learned that shows how to use coaching to transfer learning to enhance job performance. Self-assessment and goal-setting by the coach, as well as an opportunity to get a learner to assess the coach and give feedback on his/her coaching skills, reinforces the learning process.
